The prayer of faith

Faith fills prayer with power ...without faith we are just making sounds ...only prayers in faith we be heard

How to develop prayer of faith

Must be directed to a goal ... A definite and sure target ...ask for exactly what you need ...he is a precise God ...Moses instructions for the Tabernacle ...he expects precise prayer faith is the substance of things ... Not generalities

Prayer of faith must lead us to visions and dreams ...the language of the Holy Spirit  ....visualise the results before God brings them ...your desires must be in line with the will of God

God is God of the eternal now ...he responds to now faith ...forth dimension od now faith ...promises already done...God is faithful to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think

Abram name change to Abraham (father of many) before he had a child

Must remove all obstacles that negate God's answer ...continue to pray until we have assurance in our hearts that God has heard us and answer is on it's way ...need sufficient faith to get prayer answered

God can't be manipulated by self pity ...he responds to faith... Positive confession will cause you to praise God for answer before you see it

Need a clear Chanel for prayer ...confess sins ...bitterness, hatred, fear ....cleanse from all unrighteousness 

Praying in the Holy Spirit

I will pray with the spirit ..I will sing with the spirit 1Cor 14:15

Pray in the Holy Spirit Jude 20

Praying in your prayer language is a means of building yourself up spiritually

...they shall speak in new tongues Mark 16:17

...unhindered communication with God ...sets aside inability to articulate feelings

...in everything give thanks ...quench not the Holy Spirit 1 Thess 5:15-21

Be a spiritual intercession ...stand between .... Like a completed circuit needs to be connected for bulb to light or motor to run

Must be willing to be used at unexpected times and in unexpected places ...needs that we are not aware of naturally 

Developing persistence in prayer

We must not hurry and take the time to pray ...we must learn to wait in prayer ...not like our quick fix, instant coffee society

Paul Cho gets up at 5am to pray in his study ...not in bed I case he falls asleep again

Thanks ...praise ....worship ...ask for blessings for things to do today

Will develop a personal and intimate relationship with God ...he can then direct simply and quietly ..it takes time to develop this type of relationship ...we need to invest the time in prayer

Early morning prayer brings strength

Need to repeat prayers daily..not once...need to repeat ..daily bread ... As we need to continue to breathe, eat, so we need continual prayer

Waiting on the Lord

Meditation ..act of contemplating or reflecting on something or someone ..needs discipline to stop mind wandering. ...integral and important part of prayer ..actions affected by our will, will is affected by our thinking ..if we can direct our thinking (contemplation) we can control our actions

We need to meditate on something ..you must delight in that thing...need to be motivated ...delight in the word of God my mouth shall speak of wisdom and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding Psa 1:2

Meditate upon these things 1Tim4:14-15

Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee Isaiah 26:3

Must get quiet before God ...move beyond external problems ...a heart quiet befor God ...they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength Isiaih 40:29-31 ...natural strength not enough

Where you meditate is not as important as meditating

Fasting and prayer

Voluntary and deliberate abstinence from food for the purpose of concentrated prayer

Being fullof the Holy Spirit does not necessarily mean walking in the power of the spirit ...the way into power is to fast and pray ...and when they had fasted and prayed...they sent them away Acts13:1-3.... Prayed with fasting Acts14:21-23.... Clarity of mind and spirit ...releases voice of Holy Spirit to give direction ...important for gaining spiritual and material victories

...a precious opportunity to get closer to our Lord ...prayers more perfectly focused....more spiritually sensitive...more power to combat satan

It is intense natural desire to want food ...combined with spiritual desire for communion ...more intensity ...combine natural and spiritual desires

First day little effect...third and forth day body demands food ...fifth and sixth body adjusting... Seventh day hunger pains disappear ....body weaker, but clarity of thought and freedom in prayer

God responds to our sincerity...mercy and grace released by humbling ...undo the heavy burdens

Forgiveness important for healing ...don't become hateful and bitter ..poisons the body ...mental and physical anguish ...forgiveness not optional...mandatory ...releases the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to the one causing the problem ...the Holy Spirit can convict of sin, righteousness and judgement

Lay down self righteous attitude and forgive ...what do you have to loose but bitterness, resentment and possibly ill health?

We need greater people ...willing to forgive, sacrifice, obey and commit

All-night prayer meetings

If you can stay up all night clubbing ......why not for prayer?

Prayer ...teaching ...singing ..preach ...sing...testimonies ...sing ..prayer

Night watches Psa 63:6, 119:148 ...disciples in prison ...David could not give what cost him nothing

Place where needs met, fasting and prayer....place for continual prayer, fasting, worshiping and praising
